Problem: It’s so hard to come up with enough for my students to do when I’m making sub plans!
Solution: On sub days I’m all in favor of activities that are simple, take some time, and involve at least some skill practice. Here’s a fun freebie to help you out. It’s a math fact color-by-number. Students solve the math facts on the page. The answers they get correspond to what color that area of the picture needs to be. As a bonus, the facts have unknowns in all positions so it even supports Common Core!
